Below are some of the questions we are asked most often. If you have a question that is not answered here then please send us a message. We are always happy to help.

The Campers

How fast are the campers?

Blink and you might miss them! Seriously though, they are over 30 years old and although they can reach around 65mph they are not grease lightening. So sit back, relax and take it easy.

How easy are they to drive?

Easy peasy lemon squeezy - although the campers are a different driving experience to a modern vehicle, they are easy to drive and within a few moments you’ll be brumming along without a care in the world.

Are the campers left hand drive?

Being all American girls Lula & Isabel are left hand drive. If you’ve driven a left hand drive vehicle before you’ll know how straightforward it is, if not then you’ll adapt in no time at all. We’ve had nothing but positive feedback about how easy Lula & Isabel are to drive. Roads in the Isle of Man are so quiet (sometimes you’re lucky to see another car!) you can relax, drive at your own pace and take time to explore.

What cooking facilities do the camper have?

Each van has a two ring hob. It’s amazing the feasts that can be cooked up. We supply pots, pans and plates so you can cook up the favourites you enjoy at home.

What happens if the camper breaks down?
All of our campers are well maintained but in the unlikely event that one should break down they have breakdown cover. If the breakdown company are unable to get you back on the road then we will provide you with a spare van, subject to availability.

The Isle of Man

How do we get to the Isle of Man?
You can choose to fly or sail to the Island. See our links page for info on flights and sailings.

Can we?

Can we travel to the UK or Ireland?
Our campers are available to hire on the Isle of Man only. It’s a beautiful Island - why would you want to go anywhere else.

Can we bring our cat, dog, goldfish along?
Although we at CampaMann love all creatures, great and small, out of respect for those customers who are not so animal friendly we don’t currently allow pets in our camper vans.

Who, what, where and why?

What do we need to bring with us?

We recommended that you travel light. The campers come fully equipped and bedding/towels can be hired if you would rather not bring your own. Please remember to bring your driving licence, passport or photo ID and a utility bill addressed to the main driver.

Where can we camp?
The Island has a number of camping sites that allow camper vans. Contact details can be found on our links page. It is also possible to park over night at a number of other locations. What other way is there to wake up to a different view each morning?

Where can we go?
The Island is your oyster! You can travel wherever the fancy takes you. We live on a beautiful Island and only ask that, wherever you go on your CampaMann adventure, you pick up any litter and leave things as you found them.

Insurance and stuff

Is insurance included in the hire charges?

Yes the prices we quote always includes fully comprehensive insurance for one named driver, aged between 25-70, with no convictions or endorsements on their licence.

When do I pay the security deposit?
When you collect your camper we ask that you leave a £500.00 security deposit. This is fully refundable when the camper van is returned at the agreed time and in the same condition is was hired to you in.
